today felt like three whole days taped together with cheap glue. i woke up thinking i’d make these cute paw print bracelets and… yeah no. total fail. it literally looked at me and said “not today.” so i gave up and pretended it never happened (except i’m writing it here so whatever).

glory jane (2011)

i just finished watching "glory jane" (also known as "man of honor" or "young kwang ui jae in") and i gotta say, it was a classic kdrama roller coaster (not a 10/10 coaster tho, maybe a 5/10 kiddie ride). the story (while a bit predictable with all the tropes i love to hate) was comforting and heartwarming. it has that blend of corporate scheming, family secrets (so many secrets!), and pure-hearted ambition that makes you keep pressing "next episode" late into the night (but maybe not all night.....)Read more »

quick update~

thank god i’m kinda getting my sense of smell back!! still subtle tho lol. and… what do you mean it’s already the 24th??????? this month seriously flew by so fast >:0

thinking about starting the apothecary diaries soon. kinda spoiled myself a little watching some livestreams where this guy reenacted eps with paper puppets(…?) yeah, wild. i barely remember the plot but the characters stuck-- jinshin the beautiful eunuch… w pure smarmy boss energy, and maomao is honestly the coolest, smart and cold, B].

anyway, gonna give it a proper watch after exams!!

hey everyone! so i also watched 'in time' (2011) for the first time, and wow, it just hit me hard :o. the whole concept is so wild yet so terrifyingly familiar. it’s a world where time is literally money, stored on your forearm, and you stop aging at 25. sounds like a dream for some, right? but it’s a nightmare for the vast majority. the rich live for centuries, while the poor struggle just to make it to the next day. this movie is a total mind-bender >:3 and i have thoughts.

'the day the earth stood still' (2008)

just watched 'the day the earth stood still' (2008) for the first time, the keanu reeves remake ;], and let me tell you, it's a completely different vibe than what I expected. i was expecting something classic but modern, and instead i got a very serious keanu and lots of big special effects. the film focuses heavily on environmentalism, which is a major theme throughout.

love untangled (2025)

(okay so i just watched 'love untangled'; i needed something lighthearted this weekend after a tough week).

first impressions? the nostalgia is real; set in 1998 busan, it’s all about pagers and cassette tapes. the aesthetic is super charming, honestly, which was a major selling point for me :D the story follows park se-ri, a high school student who hates her naturally curly hair; she thinks it's the only thing keeping her from her crush, the popular jock at school. her "operation love" plan is simple: straighten her hair, win his heart. (very teenage logic, like.... why?????).

okay so. j.y. park just dropped his newest song happy hour (퇴근길) with kwon jin-ah, released on november 5, 2025, and honestly the mv is great. it’s this funny yet oddly comforting take on what it feels like to be totally drained after work. he plays an exhausted office guy at “yojung company” (apparently “yojung” means fairy, which is kinda cute and funny).
