ok so. my dreams have been getting increasingly unhinged the further we get into february and i feel like i owe it to you guys to document them. last night i was apparently employed at a library/bookstore hybrid (i got the job like it was roblox. job title floating above my head and everything) and i was doing everything except actual work. picked up two books, got bored, couldn't figure out where to return them... and then shelved them in the horror section because they were red. colour coded them. by colour. i am so sorry to any librarians reading this, please do not revoke my borrowing privileges.

the library itself was actually really cozy, high ceilings, looked like any normal library. it's the stairs down that got weird -- more like a mineshaft than a staircase, dark and tunnel-y, the only light coming from a broken wall hovering over the info desk, perfect for eavesdropping on people below (overheard someone saying there was a new staff member working... trust me, i'm not), and a little room with hospital lighting along the way (prob the loo). 

there was a station with an alien stage(?) filofax and pens laid out with a sign saying it was for a project and people were welcome to draw one of the characters in it. some guy came up, opened it like he was about to show me something, snickered, then just... walked off. i think he opened the wrong page though because it was literally just a drawing of a character t-posing.... anywho.

i tried to draw in it and then someone else appeared to draw too and we had a whole awkward standoff. "you go." "no you go." "YOU." "NO YOU." anyway i left (she had a cute outfit ngl).

wandered over to the checkout to see if anyone needed help and found this big old monitor just sitting there. apparently you could customise a little name tag for your book cover if you bought something. i assumed it was there for staff to use but then i looked at the screen and. why is it doing stuff on its own??? i think it was actually there to monitor what people were writing in the name tag thingamajig. at some point i saw a photo of some person in the library paired with some foul words i've since forgotten, and he was absolutely snickering as it printed out. the font was rainbow microsoft wordart paired with bold black helvetica though so i let him off.

ANYWAY. none of that matters because then i was at a concert and it went dark and i heard a melody and i was like. WHAT IS THAT MELODY??????? it was wolf. EXO was performing wolf. i saw that the tree looked massive, oh right, must be backup dancers............ and then the stage got brighter........ "isn’t that luhan?" and then next to him.... baekhyun. it was ot10 performing... in 2026!!!!!!!!!!! and i was already losing it, and THEN they did this cute little team hand stack and another hand emerged from the back.... TAO?!?!?!?! it was actually ot11!!!!!!!! they performed and it was genuinely the best concert i have ever attended (in my sleep). baekhyun had a blond perm which made me conclude mid-dream that this was definitely a dream for some odd reason, but i kept watching because obviously. exo left the stage ("noooo come back, at least post on the main!!") and then bts was announced. so this is def a reunion event.... and i looked up and it was just jungkook performing solo. oh... nvm. (for some reason he looked 50. what is this alt universe???) he disappeared mid-song and reappeared on the other side of the stage in a completely different outfit. man definitely learned something from kai's teleporting skills. then they announced a b1a4 x vixx collab stage (i genuinely cannot picture this).... and then i woke up before it happened.

the grass was so green when ot11 was on stage. I NEED TO SEE A REUNION BEFORE I GET OLD AND WRINKLY ㅠㅠ

i kinda miss that library too, actually.

qotd: if you owned a library what would it have?

mine would have a big red panda as a guard, a garden area for reading outside, a little tea corner serving different herbal blends, and a space for activities like drawing and crafting.
