cloudy rewind
the only decent part was the class setup. no groupwork. no fake smiles. no pretending to care what someone else wrote on the project. just pure academic isolation. as an introvert......? i respect that. (though the whole “public humiliation if you fail” thing... yikes. i’d disappear on the spot.)
but one thing i noticed; why are all the kids rich? like real rich. one of them literally said they “own a village.” another has a family mansion. someone’s been in private school since they were six. meanwhile i’m out here celebrating when my pen still works after three months. the contrast is crazy.
after that historical nightmare, i decided to cleanse my soul with sheriff callie’s wild west (don’t ask why. i’m just in that era of life). and peck... oh my. first episode and he’s already on my nerves (he's still my fave, don't get me wrong.) but how do you get good at a game and suddenly start disrespecting your best friend and the whole town? humbling needs to be reintroduced to that bird.
before bed i watched some lab rats, and it hit me how much i missed out on as a kid. like i finally get the adult jokes now. the parents are unintentionally the funniest part. the acting is a bit stiff though; like you can see the rehearsals in their eyes. maybe it’ll smooth out once i binge a few more episodes.
now it’s 3am. i’m half-asleep, half-delusional, debating whether to keep watching or read lovely complex again. (koizumi and ōtani supremacy always.) i’ll probably end up doing both because self-control? never met them.
anyway, that’s my little midnight rewind. hope today’s kinder and less... messy. if not, at least i’ll have shows n books to escape into :]
