well, i just got back from a call. i had the coolest plans, i was going to take a course for something i was genuinely interested in, that being cybersecurity!! until the very last second when they asked if i had lived in the country for a certain amount of years.... i mean... no? i've been outside the country for a bit. so right as i was getting my papers ready to meet them in person, they rejected me............ i was so excited!! :0 LIKE WAHT?????

the person on the other line sounded even more devastated than me though, lolol. "ooh.... that's bad.... so sorry :(..... oh dear....." WHY IS THAT EVEN A CRITERIA?? i shall look into that later. at least i don't have to go out i guess, it's way too hot.......... looking at the brighter side of things..........

i'm glad it happened over the phone at least, because rejection in person is a whole other level of devastation. i'm a little shaken up but that's life!! maybe it wasn't meant to be. it's like i was little red riding hood skipping toward where i wanted to go, and the job turned out to be the wolf dressed as a delicious cookie waiting at the door. sneaky sneaky!! (speaking of wolf, happy belated 14th anniversary exo!)

but........ the thing is, cybersecurity genuinely fascinates me. i remember going on a business trip to fujitsu a while back. there was this guy who looked like batman standing in front of a massive screen showing a globe with cyberattacks being tracked across it in real time, just pointing things out so coolly. i was standing there completely starstruck. something about that moment just never left me, so yeah, the rejection stings a little extra knowing that ;; but eh, it's no big deal. i'm over it. it's gucci....... *sniff* *sniff*

anyway!! i've been offline for a bit so let me do a little life update. i started rewatching haikyuu because apparently a new season is coming in 2027, plus i never fully finished it during the pandemic so now felt like the right time. nishinoya i missed you dearly!! i'm currently on his episode, mwehehehe.

i also realised i desperately need to go clothes shopping. i wanted to go out yesterday and had absolutely nothing to wear for the heat.... my wardrobe is basically wooly shirts and turtlenecks. hear me out!! i'm a homebody so i've always prioritised loungewear over seasonal clothes, but the sun is really calling me out right now. i cannot keep stepping outside looking like a sims character with a randomized outfit, huge coat and all. the sun is winning and i am losing ㅠㅠ

and guys.......... i'm caving in.......... arashi. it started quietly and now i'm fully gone...... i'm even coming up with scenarios of them as tokimeki memorial characters in my head........ nino n aiba would be so funny as one of the routes i just know it. someone please intervene before i make a whole casting post ㅠㅠ bwaaah!

for exos anniversary we celebrated by watching concert cds and cbx's performances had me in full tears (the papercuts performance specifically ㅠㅠ) PLS COME BACK CBX!!! i also managed to drag my sibs into exo song quizzes, it went a little something like this,

koi: ....

baby sib: ehhhhh...... bin!!!

i really felt like that one kid forcing the others to play doll, lol. my older sib just kept on comparing the songs to disney openings like an unc. he really said that run sounds like girl meets world------ NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!! >:0 but it was fun overall!

AND TO ADDRESS THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM! as you guys can see, i changed my layout to tokimeki memorial girls side~ not completely done yet but it's growing on me! it looks very similar to my first layout, so it's somewhat nostalgic to me, hehe. also.... idkw but the about page is not working, and i'm too lazy to fix that..... :/ i'll work on it another day.
