writing this at the rollerskating rink… it’s 8:30pm (posting tomorrow bc low battery. edit: it is tomorrow).
it was 18+ night, so i brought my driver’s license like a responsible adult. the guy checked it, looked at me, then said, “wow… you look young.” i genuinely thought i was about to be denied entry, but i survived!!! this was also my first time on proper quad skates (i’ve only ever used inline), which explains why my balance immediately betrayed me. the retro theme was great though. it felt like i’d stepped into another decade, the dj was solid, and every time i passed his booth i nearly ate the floor (very immersive experience).
somewhere between laps, i witnessed a full romcom tragedy unfold. the boyfriend gave up entirely. the girlfriend was glued to the wall and grabbed me for support. ME. a person who almost fell..... while sitting down. it was at this point that the rink got too crowded, my back started sending threats, and i accepted defeat. i left, still thinking about the £20 entry fee… my wallet is grieving.
to cope with the entry fee (which was already emotionally devastating), i immediately made it worse by stopping at a corner shop and buying WAY too many mogu mogu....... apparently wasting money once was not enough for me ^^; this then turned into a very serious tasting session (for science).
quick results: coconut was a CRIME!!!!!!!!! ugh, it was so bad... i just ended up throwing it out ;; it's such a shame because i was honestly looking forward to that one the most :( -300000000/10. lychee was alright. pineapple and guava were both really good (guava especially… refreshing king :D). strawberry & cream was..... confusing in theory and practice (but the cap looked like bmo from adventure time... so extra points for that), and watermelon was just nice!
ahem. anywayyy, i slept at 4am after drawing a bit, so now i am functioning in low-power mode..... for the foreseeable future, i will be resting and rebooting.

it’s such a mind-boggling experience when someone physically grabs u for help while ur already struggling like 😭 let me go please??
i’m either living in the usa and/or under a rock bc i don’t think i ever heard of mogu mogu.. but i wanna try that now. ik u said it tasted alright, so one day i hope to try the lychee flavor first. it’s pink, so i’m automatically drawn to it.

- naraaaa, the solidarity is real ㅠㅠ i'm convinced quad skates and inline skates use two completely different parts of the brain. making your cousins fall is such a cousin thing to do lolol.

oooo maybe it's not in usa(?) if you ever find mogu mogu, the lychee one being pink is honestly the best reason to try it first lol (the pineapple n guava ones were the real winners for me though ;;;). it was definitely an eventful night, but i slept like a rock after! talk soon~ ^^
