koi here!! good morning (or afternoon if it is for you)...
so i was job hunting again, and honestly, it’s a bit of a downer lately. every other role has ‘ai’ attached to it now. isn't it a bit strange to see the whole field tilt so completely? it makes things feel a little impersonal, you know? i see posts calling jobs ‘easy’ because they just let a tool handle the work, and it’s just… ugh. anyway, i know the part-time search is tough for everyone right now, but i’m determined to find something that doesn’t make me cringe.
on a much sweeter note, i have some good news to balance it out. i finally got my hands on the novel for long vacation by eriko kitagawa. (she wrote heaven’s postman, the one with hyojoo and jaejoong, which is such a lovely piece of trivia to me.) the only catch is, it’s in japanese. looks like i’ll be papago-ing each sentence slowly >:/ but that’s okay. i’ll finish the drama first, then i can see how the book compares, huehue.
that got me thinking about other little joys, like scents. we talked about perfumes a while back, didn’t we? >:000 so, for today’s qotd: what’s your current favorite fragrance? this year i got ck one eau de toilette, and wow, it’s so nostalgic. definitely a bottle i’ll keep buying forever, right next to my always-trusty davidoff cool water.
feeling like a quiet reading day today. my sibling lent me ‘i hope this doesn’t find you’ by ann liang, and i’m fully braced for a deliciously messy plot.
(random thought: i watched let's go! dream team ii yesterday and i genuinely think dongjun from z:ea should be on ninja warriors!!!!! he should go pro, i’m serious.)

i love when pieces of media have a movie/show and a book, it's always so much fun to compare. have fun reading! (and translating, hehe)

UGH, u're so right... seeing ai everywhere is like... taking mental chip damage? it's here, it's there, it's everywhere. and it hasn't even been around for that long! everyone's just jumping at / for it because it cuts costs or effort. drives me up the wall. i hope you're able to find something that suits u and is fulfilling :( it may take some time, but trust!!! it's out there somewhere, sometime.

ooh, and as for ur fragrance question, i'm seriously loving the indie perfumes i picked up a while back. they're really long lasting and dry down on the skin delicately~ as for mainstream, i really like jo malone's wood sage n sea salt. i got a sample in a tester pack someone gifted me a long time ago, and i've been totally in love since.

GAAAAAAAHHHH i'm so glad you liked the book talk~ i might start writing little reviews for them (imagine a virtual book club... that would be so fun lolol). you've inspired me now ;)
also jo malone wood sage & sea salt... that's such a cool choice~ (and indie perfumes are truly the hidden treasure of the fragrance world, i swear.)
