yesterday i fell into a skateboarding documentary hole and honestly… i blame tony hawk for having the audacity to be that cool. like hello sir why are you casually defying gravity while i can’t even balance on a curb without questioning my life choices ㅠㅠ

but omg the building to building thing??? (from mtv, rip) i was literally clutching my trousers in distress. in the skate GAME i can’t even land that move. press the wrong button once and boom!!!! respawn. meanwhile tony is out there IRL with nothing but concrete kissing distance below him like it’s totally normal. and did i mention it was raining?!?!?! like hello slippery death platform!! and the hosts are just… giggling?? showing off the wet ramp like “wow look at this haha so quirky” while i’m over here imagining my soul leaving my body. i would have straight up teleported out of there if i were tony. here's the video if you wanna watch.

then i watched that kasso rail challenge thing in china and tell me why.......... there were so many children???? like tiny gremlins lining up to potentially break their skulls???? no helmets. NO PADDING. i was sweating for them. the mc guy who kept diving in to save people was my hero… the way he dramatically leaped in to help that little girl who froze at the top… oscar-worthy. give him a raise. a medal. a cape. a new microphone.

also that one guy who basically landed it but didn’t... the way i would simply evaporate from embarrassment and anger. but the winner though… he ate. like clean. crispy. no crumbs. well done to him!! :D

idk why i get so emotionally invested in strangers trying not to fall into water while sliding on metal rails but here we are. anyway i should probably chill before i start claiming i’m gonna learn to skateboard too. which… no. my bones are too fragile for that lore.
