hello! so i’ve been offline doing a bunch of side quests lately, one of which was a bike ride. unfortunately, i got the wrong batteries for my camera, so i had to improvise. i saw a lot of photographers with their fancy setups and got a little envious, but i still managed to take some cool pictures with my phone!
i also got a new plush; a replacement for the big thumper one i had to leave behind. it’s a red panda, and i’m already sleeping much better with it. such a cool little fella~
i brought a secondhand book, and uh… let’s just say the previous owner might have “borrowed” it from their school (^_^;) permanently? it had a school library stamp on it (i’ll give them the benefit of the doubt), but the condition was… not great. i ended up removing the cover and cleaning it up, but luckily all the pages are intact. not sure when i’ll read it though, since i’m still procrastinating on the other books i need to finish, huehue.
speaking of books, it reminded me of something. i watched the movie dangshinui bootak (or mothers), and there was this line where the boy lead says he’s like a book with scribbles all over it. the main character replies, “it’s at least still your book,” or something along those lines. dang, i wish i remembered it better, but it stuck with me. it's a really gentle way of saying someone's history, even the messy parts, doesn't make them less valuable. i think about it whenever i see a worn out book now, like the one i just bought (..)
anyway, here are some of the pictures i took! (tmi: i took more photos of the bridge, but it triggered my fear of old, big structures, so… yeah. i’ll just share one from afar, plus a cute dog that ran over to photobomb.)
i had tiramisu for the first time (i think?) and... let's just say it was not great. apparently the place i went to usually serves amazing tiramisu, but i guess i got unlucky.
thankfully, i had some fudgy brownies with vanilla ice cream afterwards, and they totally saved the day~ it's weird because i don't even like chocolate that much... but it washed down the soggy tiramisu taste, so i was really grateful for it :>
alrighty then, i hope everyone’s having a cool week so far! also, i’ve been meaning to share my 90s jpop playlist here; i almost forgot! you can check it out here if you’d like~
